We at the Coosa County Sheriff's Office are dedicated to providing the safest environment and highest level of service possible in an effort to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Coosa County. It is our goal, through strong leadership and partnership with those whom we serve, to enforce all laws, deter criminal activity, protect life and property and maintain order. We shall provide quality law enforcement service to everyone in Coosa County with dedication, honor and commitment. We shall faithfully serve the people whose laws we enforce and in doing so, we will never violate the public's trust placed in our positions. We shall safeguard the rights of everyone, regardless of who they are or what they represent. We shall work together with the community to solve problems and form partnerships; we shall strive to work together to make our streets, neighborhoods, and schools safe.
There are 4 types of Bail/Bonds that can be posted to get a family member, friend or loved one out of the Coosa County Jail. The Coosa County Sheriff and Jail Administrator strive to ensure that if someone has the constitutional right to a Bail/Bond that they are able post such Bail/Bond in accordance with the law. Bond types are Cash Bond, Professional Bonding Company, Property Bond, and Appeal Bond.
Inmates shall be incarcerated for one week prior to visitation privileges. Visitation for inmates with the general public will be held each Saturday. There are specific assigned times for each cellblock. The times are as follows: “A” Block - 7 - 9 AM; “B” Block - 9 - 11 AM; “C” Block - 12 -2 PM; “D” Block - 2 - 3 PM. Inmates must submit a visitor’s list prior to visitation day. Visits will be 15 minutes with a maximum of 2 visitors per week
