The Marion County Jail and Work Center are staffed with over 155 law enforcement professionals dedicated to the humane and ethical treatment of the more than 16,000 people we care for each year. Commander Sheila Lorance oversees the Institutions Division, maintaining our correctional operations at levels that meet or exceed the highest state and Federal standards.

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed on holidays recognized by Marion County). The court will accept bail in the form of: cash,cashiers checks and
credit/debit cards. Jail Bail Window: 4000 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem, OR 97317 Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am and anytime during Saturday/Sunday, including holidays. The bail window can only accept bail in the form of cash.
Visiting is open: Monday - Friday, 7:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M, excluding Holidays. Visitors must arrive at the Jail Visiting Lobby during the designated sign-up times listed in the visiting schedule. Visits are 40 minutes in length and are non-contact in nature.
