Tishomingo County has completed the construction of a new state-of-the-art detention facility at 1208 Bettydale Drive in Luka. All inmates were moved into this new facility on March 26, 2012. This facility is now fully operational and will be financed by revenue generated from housing up to 75 non-violent state inmates. All operations at the old facility behind the courthouse have ceased. In addition, all administrative office located on the lower level of the courthouse have been moved to the new facility as well.
We maintain a list of currently approved bond agents at the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office in the detention intake area. Those brought into this facility, who are eligible for bond, are free to choose any approved bonding agent or service. This Office does not endorse any bonding agent or company. The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office has no control over what any bonding agent charges for posting a bond.
Please contact the detention facility for current information on visitation. All inmate visitation times and processes have changed. Inmates have a set visitation time each week. All visitation will now occur on Saturday or Sunday. Inmates and their visitors are responsible for keeping up with visitation schedules. Due to scheduling of visits, additional time will not be allowed for visitors who arrive at the detention center late.
