About Utah County Sheriff's Office Corrections Bureau
The primary goal of the Corrections Facility is to provide inmates the opportunity to participate in and benefit from educational, treatment and rehabilitative programs. These programs are intended to enable inmates to re-enter the community better prepared to deal with their responsibilities as a contributing community member.
If you are bailing out a friend or family member, you may use a credit card for this process. Keep in mind that there will be an additional charge for the transaction. We cannot take credit card payments over the phone. We must have the exact amount we tell you, no loose change, and no personal checks will be accepted. Cashiers checks and money orders must be made out to “ The Utah County Jail”.
Jail visits are no longer scheduled by the jail visiting staff. All visits are handled by Telmate. Telmate is an outside company that facilitates visitation for many correctional institutions in the U.S. All visits are by video monitor throughout the jail. Visitors will need to set up an account in order to schedule a visit. This can be done by going online to the GettingOut.com website, www.gettingout.com or by coming into the jail visiting area and using the Telmate kiosk in the visiting waiting room. You will need a state issued driver’s license or ID to complete the registration.
