The Scott County Jail is a newly constructed full service facility, initial occupancy occurred in December of 2005. The facility is 88,737 square feet, included are 160 cells, of which 104 are double bunked for 264 beds. The new facility has a secure tunnel that connects the Scott County Justice Center and the Jail to provide for the efficient and safe movement of prisoners to and from Court. In addition, it has a secure Courtroom within the jail itself, which is used for initial arraignments. The Scott County Jail houses sentence and pre-trail adult male and female offenders. Juvenile delinquent offenders are housed for a very limited time.
Bail / Bonds will be accepted at the Scott County Jail lobby. Bail will be accepted in the form of cash only. Bonds will be accepted from a State of Minnesota approved licensed Bail Bondsman. To inquire about an inmate’s bail over the telephone please direct your calls to 952-496-8314. Please have the inmate’s full name and date of birth available for the officer who answers your call.
Visiting hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 11:30am and Wednesday 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
