Woodbury County Law Enforcement Center and Jail were built in 1987. After several renovations over the years, the main jail currently has bed space for 234 inmates. The jail houses Pretrial and sentenced inmates, along with contract federal prisoners with the U. S. Marshals Service. The staff of men and women are professional and dedicated officers assigned to maintain a safe, humane and secure environment for all the inmates.
